About Us

For over 30 years, I’ve been making natural, handcrafted soaps. In the early ’90s, while using a homeschool unit study based on The Little House on the Prairie, I made soap as part of the lessons. I fell in love with the process and continued crafting soaps for our home and as gifts for friends. What began as a personal passion eventually grew into a family business: Willow Creek Soap. By 1994, after much trial and error, I perfected my recipe and began selling at the Mankato Farmers Market.

Our soaps are made with all vegetable oils—olive, coconut, and soy—and are crafted to lather beautifully, feel gentle on the skin, and be naturally moisturizing.

Over the years, Willow Creek Soap has found its way into local shops, salons, natural food stores, apple orchards, and, as always, it is available at the Mankato Farmers Market where it all began. Our soaps have been enjoyed nationwide as well as internationally. Every bar of soap is still made with the same intention as those first homemade gifts: simple, natural, and made with care.
